The danger posed by the Addled Bog tended to be over-exaggerated. Derik knew from experience given he’d passed through plenty of times. Then again, he hadn’t traversed this area closer toward the peat mounds before, but he was relatively sure that things would be fine. If he hadn’t been, he certainly wouldn’t have suggested Harmony come with him.

He found her swinging gently in the hammock. The ocean breeze coursed through the screens of the porch, carrying the cries of gulls and the tang of salt. Her sun-streaked hair curled in the humidity, falling heavily against the ropes. When she shifted drowsily, he could see the red lines where her thigh had been pressed against the hammock, her shorts riding up so he caught a glimpse of the floral bikini bottoms she wore.

His intentions had been pure back when he’d first announced his decision to become a scryer. His vision had been all about becoming a spy for the Imperial Militia. One of those dreams that he didn’t exactly know how to achieve, but dreamed about regardless all through his childhood and into adolescence. For years, he applied himself to his studies, gaining a solid reputation with his teachers for doing good, though not outstanding, work.
However, when time came to apply for a position, he’d fallen short. By just a smidge. An unfortunate smidge that had all the blood rushing straight to his teenaged, over-responsive cock.

Sometimes the book read like an epic fantasy. Long, drawn out, at times incredibly boring. Other times it read like a fast-paced thriller. Adrenaline pumping, convoluted, with a plot so contrived that sense had blatantly been thrown out the window. Occasionally, it became nothing but an angst-ridden drama that left her debating the simplicity of her own life and the entitled preoccupation of others.
And then there were the slicked, earmarked pages where the words tumbled without constriction, flowed without obstruction and fucked their way across the old vellum with little regard for who saw.

Moonlight stretched across her room. A thin shaft of it that rippled as the clouds rushed across the sky. Cerci blinked, clearing her vision before she focused on the face hovering so close to hers she could feel hot breath and smell fresh lemon from his after dinner ritual snack he stole from Witch Ales’s stash.
“I need your help,” whispered Bradd.
She smiled and snuggled deeper under her blanket, anticipating a leisurely fuck to drag her back to sleep for the rest of the night. “Come on in.”

Neveah hesitated, her sopping hair held in one hand, her drenched dress scrunched up in the other and her chest heaving from her breakneck run through the woods. The humidity sat heavy in her lungs as the last trickling of a summer rain pattered in the leaves above her head and dripped into the mud with tiny plunks. The ripples bounced off each other like her thoughts, keeping her focused on that mud and what it contained.
Or rather, who it contained.

So, the first thing you need to know about luminants is that while they aren’t as hard as their cousins, the incands, or nearly as reflective as the radiscents, they are still much harder and brighter than human flesh. These are problems, but not unsolvable ones.
A decent pair of tinted glasses or goggles will usually keep the reflections at a nominal level. Most people living in this six-sunned plane usually own a pair or two already so you’re probably already set in that department.
As for the hardness…well, I’ll get to that.

“We don’t craft love spells. Not even temporary or weak ones.”
Dean paused in his browsing, plucking up one of the pamphlets to pretend to read as he listened in on the conversation occurring on the other side of the shelf.
“You spell flowers with love crap all the time,” snapped a voice. Male. Slight rasp from cigarettes that would only get worse over the years. And when his voice rose at the end of the sentence there was a distinct whine.

Torches flickered along the walls, burning slowly. Suhar and Garon passed through a huge room with a low ceiling where growlers stopped what they were doing and stared at Garon, making him self-conscious and overtly aware of how little he could defend himself were any of them to decide to take offense at his presence.
The corridors became skinnier and steeper, heading downward, the air growing a little stale. Then they opened back up and Suhar ducked under a heavy skin that looked like a mash up of small animal pelts.
